Taking Stock(bridge)

It has been chilly to say the least recently (it is apparently minus one outside now) but luckily there have still been clear blue skies and sunshine - perfect for wandering around the city.
Exploring places by foot is I think always the best way, and even if you've lived somewhere for a while  you can always come across something or somewhere new.
Though the Stockbridge area in Edinburgh is not new to me, it can often feel separated from the city - ventured to via cobbled lanes and curving streets. Often described as "bohemian," Stockbridge is great for cafes, restaurants, galleries (the Flaubert had some really interesting work and I was given a free espresso!) and charity shops to rummage in. Yesterday I made the most of the sunshine and took a stroll there. Here are some phone snaps from the jaunt:
